Enjoy Live Music this February at FEB FEST, Sunbridgewells
Calling all real ale fans, live music lovers and habitual festival goers, it’s time to dig out those maracas as the ultimate of nights out in Bradford comes to Sunbridgewells. That’s right, we’re having a festival at the tunnels!
Join us on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of February, as we bring to you a jam-packed, fun-filled, weekend-long event of live music, an array of flavoursome drinks including real ales and some fantastic company to wash them down with. Musical highlights start at 3 pm on both days and we are open from 10 am with drinks including the cask ale, being served from this time.
On the Saturday we bring to you over 9 hours of festival-tastic live music from some of the biggest names around Yorkshire. Gracing the Sunbridgewells arena and in no particular order, we have all the way from Eccleshill, Bradford, Upright Vintage who are an excellent group of nostalgic vocalists. Look forward to a trip down memory lane as they bring to the party their speciality, the social and dramatic spirit of the roaring 20’s!
Next up we have solo acoustic slide guitarist Ben ''Blue'' Waters. Ben will surely get the crowd footstompin' with his harmonious blues classics by Howling Wolf, Son House, John Lee Hooker, Captain Beefheart and many more.
Originating from Leeds, cool indie kids The Ormstons will also be making their Sunbridgewells debut, performing on the day with their melodious and textured riffs of alternative rock.
If you like something a bit different, the super pop group of Europe, Galores, will also be making an appearance along with singer-songwriter, Christy Sherry. Winner of Best Lead Guitarist at the Musicians Centre’s Battle of the Bands and with a pop and roll approach, Christy will have us bopping away the night to the fun chords of his many catchy tracks.
And the thrills just keep on coming as Sunday brings another 6 hours of fantastic live music from the likes of Punk, Folk and Reggae star, the talented, Sleepy Jake Segrave, Laurel Canyon Union and many, more. With a genre of West Coast Americana and tracks from American icons including Neil Young and the Eagles, the Laurel Canyon Union band will surely put the ‘Sun’ into Sunday.
The Beer & Bite
Across the two days, you can enjoy over ten different ales from six different breweries and the following will all be available as cask ales from the Saturday morning, right up until late Sunday night:
Titanic - Plum Porter, Ramsgate - Seasider, Ramsgate - Oatmeal Stout, Mad Squirrel - Mr Squirrel, Revolution - Marquee, Castle Rock - Fools Gold, Saltaire - South Island Pale, Saltaire - Triple Chocoholic, Saltaire - Stateside IPA, Saltaire - Cascade Pale Ale, Saltaire - Blackberry Cascade.
If you’re not a beer drinker, we also have a multitude of wines, fizzes, spirits and soft drinks available as normal throughout the complex.
Catering for our hungry festival goers throughout this live music event will be The Yorkshire Pie Company. Their stall of no-nonsense, quality festival food will include some delicious choices from their already popular Pie & Meat menu. Whether you pair your chosen pint of hops with a traditional pork pie or Scotch egg, The Yorkshire Pie Company will ensure you’re kept well fed over the lively FEB FEST weekend.
The Best Bash in Bradford
As we officially kick off festival season early this year, we welcome friends new and old to celebrate live music and real ale in style at the Glastonbury come Woodstock of Sunbridgewells that is FEB FEST. So stick on your best gig clobber, gather up your favourite concert buddies and get ready for some good times, good music and good memories - see you there!
