The data protection laws changeed on 25th May 2018and that’s great news for you. It means you’re going to have more control over your personal information. It also means businesses must be clearer on how they collect and use your information. So, to put you in the picture, here’s a quick heads up on The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR for short.
What is GDPR?
GDPR is a new law on data protection and privacy that gives control over your personal information back to you. And although it’s a European law, it’ll still apply after Brexit. How and when we collect your information?
Your info helps us deliver the products and services you have with Sunbridgewells and to do things like tell you about promotions, offers and things we think you’ll love. We collect your details in the following ways:
· When you talk to us on the phone, by email, or when you write to us or visit us.
· When you fill in a questionnaire.
· When you use our products and services.
Why we collect your information and how we use it?
Your information simply goes towards bringing you a better service. We use your data for things like:
· Bringing you promotions and services.
· Telling you about the things we think you may love.
· Responding quickly to your queries or complaints.
Who we share your information with?
We do not share your information to third parties.
How long will we keep your information?
Sunbridgewells only keeps your information for as long as necessary (but no longer than we have to). Just in case you need to access records or there is a dispute to resolve. Once this has been resolved all data will be deleted securely.
